The third time was the charm for Boom as they defeated Lightning All-Stars 7-4 in the first playoff round, after having lost to us twice during the regular season. A good effort from the boys playing a year up and going 5-2-1 in the regular season.

Game 8: Lightning All-Stars 2, Boom 1
Great effort in a tight, tense affair. Of particular note was another standout performance from substitute keeper Zamilan, and Juan showing his versatility by moving from the front line to defender, and giving a great performance while playing the whole game.

Game 6: Lightning Izurieta 6, Lightning All-Stars 4
A back and forth battle against the undefeated Lightning Izurieta team ended in a 6-4 loss, as the All-Stars moved to 4-2-0 on the season, still solidly in second place.
Mateo started the scoring just two minutes into the game with a left-footed shot, and the defense held up well in the first half, but LI broke through just three minutes from half to tie it up.
Mateo scored once again two minutes into the half, but LI scored three straight goals in a six-minute span to take a 4-2 lead. The All-Stars gamely fought back to tie it up with goals from Jonathan and Sergio, but could not hold off LI at the end.

Game 5: Lightning All-Stars 7, Revs 2
The boys blew open a tight game in the second half to run away with a 7-2 win, running their record to 4-1-0.
Mateo opened the scoring with a nice left-footed shot three minutes into the game, but the Revs struck back with a goal a minute later. Juan made it 2-1 eight minutes in, and defender Jordi put the All-Stars up two goals at 14 minutes with a long, low shot that eluded the keeper. Revs scored just before the half to cut the lead to 3-2.
The game was back and forth for the first seven minutes of the second half before Mateo opened the floodgates with his second goal of the game. Jonathan scored twice and Sergio scored once in the last ten minutes to seal the victory.

Game 4: Lightning All-Stars 9, Falcons 5
The boys pulled out a great comeback victory, scoring six unanswered goals after falling behind 5-3.
Mateo started off the proceedings with a long free kick goal just two minutes into the game, but Falcons struck back two minutes later. Mateo scored again in the 5th minutes, but Falcons equalized again in the 12th minute. In the 15th minute Jonathan scored, and it looked like Lightning would take a lead into the half, but Falcons scored in the last minute.
The second half opened dismally as the Falcons scored twice in the opening five minutes to take a 5-3 lead, but Mateo got his third and fourth goals of the game to tie it up with ten minutes to go. Jonathan scored the eventual game-winner with five minutes to go, and Sergio added a remarkable hat trick in the last three minutes.
Kudos to the defense and goalkeeper Dylan, as they kept the Falcons off the board for the final 15 minutes of the game.
Lightning moved to 3-1-0 with the victory.

Game 3: Lightning All-Stars 5, Lightning 2

Four minutes into the second half, Lightning scored again, but the All-Stars hit back with a nice finish from Juan eight minutes in. At that point, the goals started rolling in. Jonathan scored the go-ahead three minutes later, and Sergio made it 4-2 at 34 minutes. Andy once again scored the final goal of the game, with three minutes left.
